Design Shift and Alcineo Partner
Design SHIFT, building digital security, and Alcineo today announced their partnership delivering protection of critical data based on a secure hardware platform and software data encryption with a remote key management system. It is frequently observed that when a networked device without sufficient hardware security is hacked by an end-user, IP theft of the design can occur. Without hardware-based security, a user-accessible product can have its IP stolen.
ORWL at Embedded World 2017!

ORWL is Recognized by 2017 Edison Awards!
ORWL has been deemed worthy of a 2017 Edison Award by the Edison Awards Steering Committee. This new category of desktop PC is designed using banking technologies to protect your data. ORWL requires two factors of authentication, a key and a password. ORWL protects against physical attacks and will erase the SSD encryption key if tampered with. ORWL enables new privacy and security applications.

Design SHIFT Attends Cross Domain Technical Forum
Design SHIFT is attending is attending a two-day classified forum presented by the Unified Cross Domain Services Management Office (UCDSMO that will focus on delivering information to attendees who work with cross domain technologies. Cross domain technology is a unique section of the information technology world, as it allows users to access or send information from one security level network to another.
Design SHIFT Announces Domino Series Payment Tablets
Design SHIFT is announcing their new line of DOMINO POS tablets at TRUSTECH 2016 in Cannes, the largest single event dedicated to Trust-Based technologies. This cost-efficient line of Android mPOS tablets is designed using next generation, “PIN on glass” technology that allows customers to enter their PIN directly on the touch panel. The PIN is then encrypted and passed onto the merchant. This is the latest PTS approved technology for PIN transaction security on payment devices.

TRUSTECH, the Largest Event dedicated to Trust-Based Technologies will take place from November 29th to December 1st at the Palais des Festivals, Cannes on the French Riviera.

Design SHIFT to showcase ORWL at Intel Solution Summit in Orlando
Design SHIFT is honored to be showcasing ORWL, a groundbreaking privacy desktop that is the first open source / open hardware computer designed to encrypt and protect your data, as part of the Intel Solution Summit in Orlando, Florida this week.
The device uses Intel’s 6th Gen Intel® Core™ M7 vPro processor. It has a miniature form factor including a glass enclosure and requires a two-factor authentication—a physical key and a password— along with tamper-proof physical hardware to protect a company’s sensitive information and communications from being physically hacked. The product is a 2016 CES Innovation Honoree.

Design SHIFT Attends SXSW
Design SHIFT was excited to attend the recent South by Southwest conference in Austin Texas. The SXSW event is a great launching pad for creative new ideas, with conference panel discussions that present a forum for learning and new business networking opportunities. Intellectual and creative intermingling among industry leaders helps to grow new ideas. Design SHIFT was proud to showcase some of the recent projects we have been working on, including ORWL and the Robin Smartphone.
